Your new role

As a Legal Counsel within Eisai’s EMEA Legal Team, you will be responsible for providing legal advice & contract support to the EMEA Head Office in Hatfield, UK as well as to affiliates, branches & representative offices across the EMEA region.


As a broad in-house role, the position will see you working with stakeholders across all levels, with activities including:

  • Agreement drafting, amendment and negotiation;
  • Advising on legal risk;
  • Advising on and/or participation in negotiations with third parties;
  • Supporting General Counsel or Senior Legal Director with dispute resolution proceedings directly or with outside counsel;
  • Supporting General Counsel or Senior Legal Director instructing and managing outside counsel
  • Managing and overseeing relevant administrative matters (such as notarising documents).


What are we looking for?

You will have a recognised legal qualification and demonstrated experience either in an in-house legal role or a broad based legal practice environment.


You should have proven experience across corporate, commercial and/or intellectual property law. Specific experience in a Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences setting would be advantageous, but is not required albeit you should have an interest in wanting to work in these areas.
